ABOUT ALEJANDRA POLO

Responsable, creative interior designer with an eye for innovation and intricate details.
I am graduated with a four year degree in design where I was in contact with both graphic and product design for two years and another two years specialising in Interior Design. I studied at Elisava School of Design in Barcelona, where I am currently based.
I think what makes me different in respect to other designers is my deep understanding of all fields of design. This makes me an able person to tackle projects within graphic design and product design as much as interior projects. Although I have always a focus on interiors, which is what I love, I am also passionate about working in the area of commercial interior design, such as restaurants, hotels, shops and other commercial spaces. I am used to working in teams with people of other disciplines of design. I work with tight deadlines for projects that requires a brand identity, a product and a space design, so I am now well accustomed to completing my work in a timely manner.
I consider myself to be ambitious and creative and what characterizes my work is that it always has a strong idea from the beginning to the end of a project. I believe that having a key concept makes a project different to simply aesthetic projects. I try to find a reason behind every decision and think about every last detail. I always focus on creating a warm design where customers feel welcomed and comfortable. It is my aim to create unique spaces where people won’t feel indifferent.
Other than design, I also have a passion for travelling because I consider it as a way of learning and inspiring myself. It also helps to be more open-minded, which I think is an important aspect of a creative profession. I’m a really empathetic person, which gives me a wide understanding of the needs and problems of people, and I think this is one of the strong-points of my designs.
